What the group won and is running.

Everything below is backed by institutional paperwork: published call results, MAP registration or a declaration from the Extension Office.

FAPEMIG scholarships

Two funded undergraduate fellowships running

Terpenes, saponins and flavonoids from seven tropical forages, with GC-MS in partnership with UFSJ; and plant growth-promoting bacteria in Urochloa Dunamis grass.

PROINPE 2026

Pasture assessment by phone photo

Validating a standardised mobile-photography method for visual assessment, applying vegetation indices from the literature. May to December, three students.

Outreach approved

Three outreach fronts renewed

Agroecological poultry and stingless-bee keeping at a juvenile detention centre, both approved in PROINPE 2026, plus PAEx 336, approved on appeal with an outreach scholarship.

Supervision

Systematic review on methane

Tropical legumes and methane emission, under a PRISMA-P protocol: 839 records screened by six undergraduate students.

Regional survey

64 farmers across 16 municipalities

A survey of livestock farms in west-central Minas Gerais, which now guides what the group takes to the field and to its short courses.

Registered software

Field Collector registered at Brazil's patent office

Both modules of the data-collection app — the student's and the researcher's — were granted computer-program registration in July 2026, held by UEMG. The method is described in a SoftwareX paper.

In-house tool

The field notebook became an app.

GNAFOR Field Collector records canopy height, tillering and yield straight on the phone, in the field and offline — and hands the data back ready for analysis.

For those out in the pasture

Research that goes back through the farm gate.

Deferred grazing, entry and exit height, brewery waste in the diet: what the group measured, in the language of whoever decides on the farm.

Publications

Two years of the group, with every identifier checked.

Every listed work came from the public ORCID API, and every DOI was resolved against CrossRef or DataCite before being published here. Items without an identifier are labelled as such rather than quietly dropped.
